Exciting opportunity for an experienced Foreman to join a well known established Contractor based in Northern Ireland. Salary is competitive.

Salary Range: 40 – 50k + benefits

Location: Belfast + travel.

Vickerstock are currently recruiting for an experienced Foreman to join an established Northern Ireland based Construction contractor that are experiencing both large internal and external growth.

This prestigious contractor works on high profile, bespoke projects throughout NI and the UK and seeks a Foreman to oversee their large, ever expanding, portfolio of multi-million pound projects.

Must have fit out and new build experience, internals, directing subcontractors, being responsible for site health and safety standards and other duties required by the client. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of multiple trades, a strong presence on site and a good eye for detail.

Foreman Criteria:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Foreman and ideally from a carpentry back ground.
  • Good knowledge of modern construction techniques with a strong attention to detail.
  • Managed finishes from conception to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors to ensure the project is finished on time.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team work in a team.
  • CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid.

Foreman Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day internal finishes on site.
  • Set up Site, supervise, coordinate and monitor sub-contractors performance.
  • Help Manage project in line with the agreed production targets.
  • Manage the work flow of sub-contractors ensuring they’re in line with the programme of works on site.
  • Agree sub-contractors long term and short term programme and monitor performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of extra works and variations and ensuring appropriate communication of same.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations and good building practice.
  • Strict adherence to Health and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality procedures.
