Excellent opportunity for support workers based in Derry/ Londonderry
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the NSPCC Service Centre in Foyle for two enthusiastic and dynamic social workers to join the team for a fixed term contract.
The NSPCC Foyle is currently delivering services within the theme of sexual abuse. The successful candidate would develop skills and experience working within this theme.
The services we are currently delivering are;
Letting The Future In (LTFI)
This service aims to safeguard children by assessing the needs and risks whilst also delivering a therapeutic piece of work.
We are looking for;
A practitioner with the ability to plan and deliver appropriate programmes of work with individuals and families, the ability to identify risk and have experience of child protection intervention as well as up to date knowledge of legislation, research and best practice; and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of their own practice.
This is an exciting time for the NSPCC, with staff at all levels engaging in current services, as well as the potential for new projects and developments. You will have a manageable caseload, excellent training and development opportunities.
This is your opportunity to contribute to service development not only in terms of direct work but also be able to get involved in evaluation, influencing and dissemination of learning and have the opportunity to be part of an exciting new strategy to help end cruelty to children.
Annually:£29,500 – £33,000 per annum, with 29 days annual leave, plus bank/public holidays per year.
