Additive Manufacturing (AM) Engineer – Belfast   (Graduates with no experience considered)

Salary up to £25,000

LPE use leading edge AM technologies in both, plastic and metal, to produce a huge variety of parts for some of the most interesting companies in Europe. Due to business growth, LPE are currently recruiting an AM applications Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be recently qualified and will work within a team of Additive Manufacturing experts reporting to the Engineering Director

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Programming/preparing customer 3D models for 3D Printing
  • Problem solving engineering challenges unique to the 3D Printing processes
  • Providing support to the sales team by determining most efficient way to manufacture parts.
  • Optimise 3D Printing processes to reduce manufacturing times and improve quality

Essential Requirements

  • BSc Eng. (2:1) Minimum in a related discipline ideally with 1 years experience or HND Engineering with 3 years experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and fluent in English
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise

Desirable

  • Strong understanding of plastic and metal material requirements. Metallurgy experience would be considered particularly advantageous
  • Experience in 3D CAD package or CNC CAM package.
