The role of WorkSmart Test Analyst is designed to support our Global Client base by providing dedicated automated test support using the Smart Automated Test Tool.

The role of WorkSmart Test Analyst is designed to support our Global Client base by providing dedicated automated test support using the Smart Automated Test Tool.

The key elements of the role include:

  • Acting as a client advocate for Smart for key Clients, by running and maintaining automated Smart test packs for them.
  • Helping maintain a highly responsive Gold Service for Smart by performing detailed analysis of the issues noted by the Smart test packs and reporting these to Clients.
  • Meeting regularly with assigned Smart Clients to review the effectiveness of their Smart Test Suite.
  • Mentoring and developing Junior team members
  • Liaising closely with our in-house Development Team and Delivery Assurance Team to provide timely resolution to software related issues and Client testing enhancement requests.

Required Experience:

  • Sound communication skills including business writing and excellent spoken and written English.
  • An understanding of quality assurance / automated testing.
  • Good Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Commercial experience within a software development, business analysis or quality assurance/test consulting environment.
  • Experience and appreciation of modern application development technologies.
  • Experience in the implementation of on-premise or cloud-based business applications such as CRM, ERP, BI or HCM.


  • Strong communication skills with an affable and credible persona, including formal presentations.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure, taking a balanced view of client demands and Kainos commercials.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Good team player with strong leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • A positive “can do” attitude towards the commercial, technical and staffing challenges facing Kainos.
