 Job Description

Great opportunity for a Team Manager based in Ballymena

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Team Manager with the ability and commitment to enable young people leaving care to reach their full potential and positively transition to independent living.  Our successful applicant will oversee the day to day running of the residential unit and manage and support the project staff.

Our Leaving Care Services are jointly commissioned by Health and Social Care Trusts and Supporting People (NIHE) and are currently based in Belfast and Ballymena.  The services provide accommodation, support, assistance and guidance to young people aged 16 to 21 based on individually assessed need. This Team Manager role will involve directly supporting and working with young people.

Applicants must hold the professional Social Work qualification and be registered with NI Social Care Council.

Location: Grove Road, Ballymena.  However you may be on occasion required to work across Leaving Care service locations

Pattern: Primarily Monday to Friday with one evening shift per week, worked as 4 days 9am – 5pm, and 1 day 1pm – 9pm.  Occasional presence in the Unit at weekends may be required.  Given the residential nature of the service, a level of flexibility will be necessary

Salary: £29,966 per annum.  (Salary negotiable depending on the applicant’s level of experience and/or current salary level)

Allowance: On-call. Sleepover allowance if applicable

Closing: 02 September 2019 at midnight
