Job Description

We are excited to announce a new ABI Shared Economy Developer opening with Allstate Business Insurance. We are looking for an experienced Integration Developer to play a key role within the Shared Economy team.

This role includes working closely with all areas within the Shared Economy Commercial Lines team (including but not limited to ATSV Financials, ESS, Claims & CTS) to ensure quick delivery on all Shared Economy projects.

Responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of integrations using middleware systems within ABI
  • Use and promote common development tools and practices within the team.
  • Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the business objectives of the Shared Economy portfolio and an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities that ABI aims to address through the onboarding of new Shared Economy programs.
  • General support of fully integrated, highly available production integration environments
  • Identifies systems and technical constraints, potential technology risks, and document possible mitigation strategies for mid to high complexity projects
  • Participates in design reviews, application design impacts between concurrent releases, and technical walkthroughs
  • Understands the technical details, integration, and functions of a Commercial Lines SaaS application and/or software within a team
  • Follows change control process to manage changes to base lined deliverables and scope for projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Understands estimating process and help validate accuracy; helps identify critical path across project teams
  • Develops and/or confirms detailed estimates for projects; monitors, documents and communicates the technical progress of the project
  • Understands ACORD standards and XPaths
  • Collaborate with development teams and QA teams to deliver high quality releases
  • Interfaces directly with Vendors and with partners
  • Effective communication with team mates, business stakeholders and other technology teams
  • Performs production support – investigates and remediates errors

Essential Criteria

  • Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment
  • 4 or more years Accord and XML experience
  • Experience working with vendors and vended applications
  • Experience of core upgrades of the vendor’s core product/platform upgrades
  • Experience working in a global business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial lines, auto and property insurance
  • Experience with of JSON and data mapping
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Candidates must be detailed and meticulous and must enjoy troubleshooting
