 Job Description

Responsible for unloading products from transport, checking packaging/quality, weighing in stock, transferring stock, rotating stock, and servicing production room.

Responsible for unloading products from transport, checking packaging/quality, weighing in stock, transferring stock, rotating stock, and servicing production room.

Brief outline of Duties:

  1. Unload products from refrigerated transport
  2. Check product weights, quantity, etc. and reject any non-conformances
  3. Weigh in stock and put pallet number on to pallet or case
  4. Place stock in Intake cold store
  5. Rotate stock in date order and use as required by production
  6. Check yields and stocks on completion of shift, amend if necessary and report any changes to Production Manager
  7. Stack product correctly in chills
  8. Carry out all required quality checks
  9. Select correct stock for assembling orders and transfer stock to despatch bay
  10. Scan all crates on every pallet prior to despatch
  11. Check that correct number of crates on each pallets have been scanned and correct destination recorded
  12. Process relevant documentation for each consignment

Requirements:

  1. Experience working in Stores, Intake and/or Despatch, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  2. Experience using a scanner
  3. Ability and willingness to work in a cold environment undertaking manual labour tasks
  4. Flexibility to work additional/alternate hours depending on the needs of the business
  5. Good communication skills and understanding of English language
