Job Description

Allstate Claims Technology Services has an exciting opportunity for an Integration Service Platform Manager to join our modern and contemporary organisation. This leadership role will have a specific delivery of modernizing the Integration Layer and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure consistent interfaces across the organization. The role includes management responsibility for 3 team managers across 3 shores.

This role will be part of a leadership team who will work to successfully drive our product-centric organization forward and shape the future. The successful candidate will align to Claims business priorities, focus on measurable outcomes, drive Agile execution methods and strive for contemporary engineering practices.

Responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Modernization of the Integration Layer which has well defined design patterns and interfaces that fit into the Business/Data Services Layers thus promoting re-usability.
  • Work closely with other teams and areas to ensure that interfaces are consistent across the organization
  • Provide oversight across all products to ensure continuity and reduce duplication of effort.
  • Focus on expanding the capabilities of the existing team to include support for other integration technologies (ETL/Spring/Kafka).
  • Drive forward solutions that reduce time spent on operations activities allowing focus for strategic work.
  • Support the Claims Technology Services leadership team, ensuring that the leaders have the right environment to be successful, in terms of their delivery responsibilities and career development needs
  • Responsibility for ensuring that staffing and succession planning for Integration Services is aligned with the needs of the teams and overall company strategy.
  • Ensure high levels of collaboration with application development leadership, internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Work in take, planning and capacity management
  • Product Backlog management and prioritization.
  • Provide additional support to existing production support procedures and Disaster Recover management.
  • Interact with infrastructure, release management, change management, quality, and application teams.
  • Define and manage scope, budget, schedule, priorities and risk throughout the multiple projects.
  • KPI Definition and ownership
  • Platform Strategy and technical Roadmap
  • Platform Health and sponsorship

Essential Criteria

  • Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment. EU candidates must also demonstrate they are eligible to take up UK employment post-Brexit.
  • 5+ years’ experience working in an IT environment
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Proven background in Integration Services
  • Ability to build teams and ensure the staff are multiskilled and have regular opportunities to develop new skills and responsibilities.
  • Strategy planning and implementation
  • Experience of leading change in a practical and inclusive manner
  • Proven communication skills including ability to effectively report to Senior Leaders
  • Understanding of TIBCO Business works

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge Layer 7
  • Knowledge ETL,Spring,Kafka
  • Previous experience in an insurance environment
