Excellent opportunity for a NIGHT DUTY Staff Nurse based in a luxury Nursing Home in Newtownards

You will be
Responsible for providing a high standard of nursing care to all residents
The named nurse for selected residents
You will be required to administer, order, receive and store medication in line with policies and procedures
You will be required to maintain a high level of documentation and record keeping, ensuring that all aspects of the residents care plans and risk assessments are relevant and updated as required
You will be required to delegate duties accordingly and set a good example for the care assistants working with you
You will be required to have excellent communication skills to liaise with all staff in Movilla House, the MDT, external stakeholders, residents and relatives
You will work closely with the Sisters and Home Manager to ensure the residents have all their needs met
You will be required to maintain and recognise gaps in your training and experience and fill this gap as necessary
You will be required to actively participate in ongoing projects within Movilla House, clinical supervision, appraisals and all aspects of clinical governance
You will be expected to be professional and be fully aware of the NMC Code of Conduct
You will be expected to have an awareness of the standards required from RQIA.

Be over 18 due to required training
You must be currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) – adult, learning disability or mental health
Have at least 6 months relevant adult nursing experience
Be competent to take charge of a team of care assistants.
Knowledge of current care related procedures and excellent communication skills (both written and oral) are essential
Recent completion of, or willingness to undertake/update mandatory training (evidence of course content must be shown)
