KARRO Cookstown is part of the KARRO Food Group, which is one of the largest pork companies in the UK. The Company provides a complete range of pork products to the retail, food service, wholesale and manufacturing markets. The Cookstown site has a wide customer base which includes large UK and Irish multiples as well as local multiples and independent retailers.

Human Resources Assistant

The Role:

Initially the role will involve providing generalist support for the HR department in relation to engagement of new starters, processing leavers, sickness/ absence administration, input of data onto manual and computer systems including HR/ training files and training matrices.

As the role and individual develops, there will be opportunities for the person to play an active part in other key HR activities including, but not restricted to, recruitment and selection processes, induction training, employee engagement and providing an advisory service to line managers on employee relations and legal compliance.

The successful candidate should possess the following

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Studies or a closely related discipline
  • Previous experience of HR/ administrative duties in a busy office environment
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word , Excel, Power point and Outlook
  • Excellent  communication, organisation and presentation skills
  • The ability to work in strict confidence with a high level of attention to detail.
  • The desire to progress within the HR field
