 Job Description

As Finance Officer (Salaries), you will assist in a range of payroll duties to ensure the provision of a payroll function to all departments throughout the Association while complying with HMRC and pension regulations.


Hours of Work:                      1 x 37 hours per week permanent

                                               1 x 22.5 hours per week permanent

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English (or equivalent)

EITHER

• Part qualified Accountancy qualification i.e. Chartered; CIMA; ACCA; or fully qualified Accounting Technician or CIPP or other accredited Payroll qualification

OR
• Basic payroll qualification and 5 Years’ experience of working in a medium to large Payroll Dept. (Min 50+ staff)

Desirable Criteria:

• 2 years’ experience of dealing with different cost centres, a range of different pension contribution entitlements and dealing with a range of enhanced sick and maternity/paternity payments over and above the statutory SSP/SMP/SPP
