Horizon Sure Start Carrickfergus/Larne – Play Leader/Early Years Assistant (Creche)16hpw Term Time  (working across Carrickfergus and Larne)

Would you like to make a difference to children’s lives, be part of a dynamic team and receive a wide range of training?  If so Horizon  Sure Start are seeking applicants with NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent to join their multi – disciplinary team. 

You will work across Carrickfergus and Larne covering the Horizon Sure Start wards.  – 16hpw to be worked Term Time.   Mon  – Friday between the hours of 9.00 and 12.30 with flexibility required to meet the needs of the project.  Please read Service Specific Information to see more details about the role of Creche assistant.

Horizon Sure Start  aims to improve the ability to learn by encouraging stimulating play and improving language skills and early identification and support of children with learning difficulties and this will be a key part of this role.  Therefore a sound knowledge of child development is essential, as well good observation and written skills to record and monitor progress accurately and provide action plans, reviews and reports for individual children, recognising different needs.

You will be required to work with a multi – disciplinary team , including external agencies to improve health and social development.

Salary: £17,316 per annum to be paid pro rata

Hours: 16 per wek to be worked during term time,  requires some flexibility to meet the service needs.
