An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Director of Corporate Services to join Southern Area Hospice Services.

Salary:           c£65,000 p.a.

Hours:           c35 hours per week

Base:             Southern Area Hospice, Courtney Hill, Newry, BT34 2EB

Southern Area Hospice Services (SAHS) delivers specialist palliative care for patients and their families living within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. The services cost over £4m a year to provide with approximately £2.6m being raised by the local community.  This year SAHS is celebrating 30 years of working with the local community to provide hospice services.

 An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Director of Corporate Services to join Southern Area Hospice Services. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a key member of the senior management team with responsibility for ensuring continuous improvement in the management and delivery of all corporate services.

We are seeking an individual who possesses:

  • A degree with valid qualification in Finance or Human Resources.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role managing Finance or HR in a complex organisation of at least a similar size* at a senior level**
  • Significant experience delivering business improvement across a range of staff teams at a senior level.
  • Experience of developing and implementing quality improvement frameworks.
  • Experience of effective leadership and management in a heavily regulated environment at a senior level providing assurance and ensuring compliance.
  • Desirable criteria: to hold a leadership/management qualification and 5 years’ experience of managing a number of corporate service functions.

 We are seeking a high calibre person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can demonstrate the ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams within the Directorate and to work collaboratively with a commitment to achieving SAHS’s strategic objectives as part of the senior management team.
