Chef De Partie

Location: Wine Inns, Belfast 

 The Empire, The Eglantine, The Chelsea, The Parlour, Four Winds, Robinsons, Cutters Wharf, The Doyen. 

Reports to: Head Chef

Function: Food and Beverage Service

Purpose

Under the general direction of the Head Chef, and within the limits of the established procedures, to prepare and cook food to the standards set and to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • To adhere to all standards established in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all foods
  • To ensure that goods are stored in the correct conditions and that stock rotation is carried out correctly
  • To maintain the hygiene of the kitchen at all times
  • To clean food production area, equipment and utensils
  • To be aware of costs and wastage
  • To ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained at all times
  • Any other duties relevant and related to the post.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous chef experience is essential
  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent qualification
  • Enthusiastic and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Good knowledge of EHO (environmental Health Organisation) regulations, temperature checking
  • Team Player
