CDE is now seeking to appoint a high-calibre Technical Lab Analyst to join the Technical Department.

CDE is now seeking to appoint a high-calibre Technical Lab Analyst to join the Technical Department.  

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Sampling and testing of aggregate materials
  • Process testing of the materials to allow washing plant design to be optimised
  • Organising and scheduling the testing of samples submitted for testing
  • Recording of all data linked to the testing activities
  • Reporting of all results in a professional format in keeping with CDE document procedures
  • Maintain quality management system for the laboratory function
  • Update relevant Quality databases and report any Non-Conformances
  • Maintaining calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Be involved in Quality improvement projects
  • Operate Pilot scale wash plant and provide improvement ideas and solutions
  • Maintain lab facilities and equipment to a high standard ensuring a highly professional environment is maintained
  • Adhere to CDE’s HR and H&S policies

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant Lab Technician experience desirable or a recent graduate with a relevant science degree
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail
  • Proactive nature
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Good knowledge of mechanical equipment and maintenance
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Team orientation and a collaborative working style
  • Microsoft office knowledge: Excel, Outlook, Word essential
  • Prior knowledge of accreditation processes (desirable)
  • Prior knowledge of general lab equipment (desirable)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally, and through presentations
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Attentive to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Enthusiastic, energetic self-starter able to work on own initiative
  • Clearance to work in EU
