 Job Description

Assist in coordinating the day-to-day activities of a team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; and quality standards

This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education, or training. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. The job should possess a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based. The knowledge can be acquired through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. The job works within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines. This job typically requires a minimum of 3 or more years experience.

  • Manage the Effectiveness of Operations Team Members

  • Manage Manufacturing Associates, providing effective leadership and delegation of responsibilities to optimise business and employee performance

  • Manage and monitor Production Output Levels

  • Manage people to effectively operate in accordance with work instructions and procedures

  • Work closely with the Operations Management team to manage growth, evaluate and deploy a range of continuous improvement and lean techniques to optimise Production performance

  • Work as part of the Operations Management Team to deliver against customer expectations of quality and Lead Time Performance

  • Work alongside the Operations Management Team to manage new Product Introduction into Manufacturing

  • Utilise a root cause, problem solving methodology in the investigation of non-conforming processes or products observed in the operations and stores areas

  • Work closely with the Engineering and Quality Departments on Good Manufacturing Practice

  • Work closely with multiple Departments to establish Design for Manufacturing

  • Work closely with Training Compliance team to ensure compliance within Production

  • Work closely with QA incoming inspection team to ensure material is available for production

  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the Operations Management staff
