DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity to integrate into our current R&D design team which design, manufacture and trial bespoke machinery within the food processing industry

COMPANY

Axis Technology and Development Ltd currently supply food processing solutions. We provide bespoke harvesting applications utilising robotics, rapid prototyping, mechanical and electrical engineering.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop various machinery which can be utilised to reduce overall production costs within the world-wide food processing industry. The successful candidate will be part of a small design team and afforded a level of autonomy and responsibility, as such this role is most suitable to a self-starter willing to jump in to the tasks at hand.

Candidates will be expected to provide mechanical design and drafting capabilities, but the role will also include project management and commissioning. This role will also involve international travel and expenses will be paid.

ROLE

We currently have a number of roles open and therefore are willing to consider candidates from graduate level to highly experienced.

The successful candidates will be expected to provide:

  • Initial concept drawing
  • 3D Modelling (preferably Solidworks)
  • Perform stress calculations and factors of safety within mechanical systems
  • Detailed engineering drawings for manufacture
  • Maintain technical specifications and user documentation
  • Demonstrated engineering expertise, and ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise with changing situations
  • Solid analytical skills and judgement to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Complete Site visits for trialling and installation purposes
  • Hands-on experience in an engineering design office 

Desirable Qualities:

  • Stainless Steel Welding and Fabrication experience
  • PLC programming
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Health & Safety Qualifications
  • Purchasing experience
