MARSHALLING AREA SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Loading Bay/Marshalling Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for day to day management of the marshalling area at the Dungannon Primary site. The role presents an exciting opportunity to take up a management position within one of the UK’s most dynamic and fast growing food groups.

The Role:

  • In conjunction with other Managers you will plan and manage the daily functions of Production.
  • Assist the Marshalling Area Manager to ensure the operating functions in the carcass-loading bay run efficiently.
  • Ensure orders are processed expediently and meet customer specifications.
  • Training of operatives to required skills levels.
  • Identify improved production and cost saving methods
  • Ensure all Hygiene, Food Safety, Quality and Health and Safety Rules are enforced and training up to date.
  • Work with and promote Company’s Food Safety and Quality System, including HACCP.
  • Take part in Customer led and third-party audits.

The Person

Essential Criteria

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar environment.
  • Experience in beef and lamb butchery.
  • Ability to work to tight time scales in a safe environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of food Quality, Hygiene and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and supervisory skills.
  • Willingness to learn & ability to lead and work as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria

  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to adapt to change

This role operates on a Monday to Friday basis.

All candidates must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand.
