Manufacturing Team Lead required for our Kerry site in Coleraine.

We are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join our manufacturing team in Coleraine to lead the Value Stream team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and team work. Build trust through effective leadership and the skilled application of people management processes and open two-way communications.

Following standard procedures:

  • Recruit and select the right team members.

  • Induct new members into the team.

  • Build team skills through skills assessment, training, feedback and support.

  • Manage on-going performance of direct reports.

  • Identify those who have the interest and ability to progress into bigger or different roles and facilitate this through agreed procedures.

  • Manage team member corrective action as required with the support of Group Leader & HR as necessary.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support Production Operations

  • Document and Train Standard Work and Standard Operating Procedures

  • Execute Continuous Improvement

  • Standard Confirmation

  • Identify, Rectify and Report Production Issues

  • Control Start-Ups, Changeovers and Shift Handover

  • Manage Process Reliability

  • Absenteeism Cover

  • Record Quality Control Inspection Results

  • Manage Quality

  • Manage Health and Safety

The successful candidate to demonstrate:

  • Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills and be fluent in the English language (oral and written)

  • Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data

  • 1 Years relevant experience in managing / supervising a Team

  • Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • To have a detailed knowledge of the machinery and processes in the area of responsibility.

  • Effective communicator who facilitates bottom up and top down communication channels
