Role: Maintenance Technician Engineer

Location: Dungannon

Our engineering team will look after a range of recycling equipment from pneumatic balers to fully automatic balers on some of the UK’s leading blue collar business sites.

Job description; 

As Maintenance Technician Engineer you will be joining a flexible, innovative and extremely driven team, providing engineering support to the aftersales team. To support this team, you will be collaborating with other functions to provide accurate work instructions to ensure safe solutions are provided. You will be integral in part of the technical planning of machine breakdowns, where resources and technical instructions are prepared, and planned for field service. Your technical support is vital to the ongoing operational efficiency of the growing CK International aftersales portfolio, where downtime on customer equipment must be minimised.

Roles & Responsibilities 

As, Maintenance Technician Engineer the role will include:

  • Preparation and planning of installation and commissioning of waste recycling equipment 
  • Supporting the resolution of technical field issues
  • Support to the field team to ensure field van inventory is maintained
  • Support to the field team to ensure van tools are maintained
  • Ensure correct parts are ordered for tasks 
  • Provision of safe and effective work instructions and risk assessments
  • Providing accurate reports from each job attendance to allow trend analysis
  • Ensuring that all work complies with H&S policy 
  • Assurance that technical manuals are kept up to date
  • Updating self-help documents so customers/employees can rectify problems themselves

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Excellent people and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of electrical, mechanical & pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of PLC’s
  • Electrical engineering qualifications
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety requirements
  • IT competent & literate 
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Driving Licence (must not have more than 6 penalty points)

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of waste recycling equipment
  • Fabrication knowledge
  • H&S qualifications 
  • Edition 18 electrical certification

  • Full induction and H&S training will take place at CK factory in Dungannon Co Tyrone.
  • Field training with current engineering team will be provided to the successful candidate.
  • This will give the successful candidate exposure to the recycling equipment & reporting systems 
  • Mainly a desk-based job and you’ll spend most of your day communicating with the field team
  • Candidate must be flexible with working hours to ensure customer support, including rotatonal out of hours
