POST TITLE: Lecturer in Computing

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Applicants must have:
1a a University Degree in the specialist* area or equivalent qualification;
1b at least a Level 5 qualification in the specialist* area and 3 years’ relevant** post qualifying industrial, professional or teaching experience;
2 one year’s experience employed within the area of Computing e.g. Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Networking, Programming or Testing;
3 GCSE English (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication
GCSE Maths (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent;
*specialist area defined as in the area of Computing
** relevant defined as employment in the area of Computing
4 Post Graduate Certificate in Education or equivalent qualification recognised for teaching in the Northern Ireland FE Sector or be currently registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI);
5 one year’s recent experience (within the last five years) employed within the area of Data Analytics, Cyber Security, Programming or Testing.
The qualifications referred to above must be recognised and approved by DfE.

There is a possibility that a reserve list will be retained if more applicants are deemed suitable than posts exist. In the event the successful candidate fails to take up the post or if the post is vacated within 6 months of the appointment date, or if another vacancy arises within 6 months the post may be offered to the next person on the reserve list. This excludes posts where panel lists will be created and maintained for a specified period.
