H&A Mechanical Services Ltd are recruiting for Gas/Oil Engineers in Derry and Armagh/Portadown/Banbridge areas.


Gas/Oil Engineer                                                     Ref: GOE/08/19

Role Overview:

We now require experienced Gas/Oil Engineers for our busy Heating Maintenance Contract. We are currently recruiting for Engineers to work in the following areas: Derry and Armagh/Portadown/Banbridge.

Reports to:

Maintenance Manager

Direct Reports:

N/A

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 7.30am – 5pm
  • Flexibility is required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Job roles will include but are not limited to:

– Gas or/and Oil Maintenance repairs and breakdown repairs

-Expected to carry out annual Gas or/and Oil Services in NIHE properties and Private properties

– Carrying out inspections and safety checks on Gas boilers

– Carrying out safety checks and services on Oil appliances

 The role is not limited to this job description and the post holder will be required to carry out other duties at the request of Management. Flexibility to cover other office locations may be required

Personnel Specification:

Essential Criteria:

  • Gas Safe registered  with experience in servicing domestic gas systems OR Oil qualified Engineer
  • Experience in fault finding on domestic central heating systems and boilers
  • Full Driving License
  • Flexible to cover all work locations & be available to carryout call outs (on a rotational basis)

Desirable Criteria: 

  • Experience working with oil or gas appliances
  • Experience working with NI Housing Executive
  • Valid CSR Card
  • Time served or Qualified Plumber
