External Cyclical Maintenance Project Manager

Contract: Full Time Permanent

Location: Field Based – Beechill House, Beechill Road Belfast, BT8 7RP

Job Description

Engie are currently seeking to recruit an ECMs Project Manager to control the ECMs contracts for Building and Maintenance to achieve the target contributions by effectively and diligently managing projects in accordance with the contract documents and programme.  Responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed quality, whilst exceeding client expectations and maximising profit.  To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy and ensure all employees reporting to you do the same and being responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are upheld to the highest of standards at all times.

Key responsibilities:

  • Programming & Delivery of ECM’s within Belfast, Ards, Bangor, Newry and Downpatrick regions;
  • To manage the customer interface within an assigned region or location(s); ensuring a high profile in the day-to-day running of the sites, and provision of a consistently strong link with customers, guaranteeing appropriate and responsive reaction to address any and all client concerns;
  • To manage excellent relationships with our client, our suppliers and other partners within a region;
  • To ensure that the operational aspects of his/her region are delivered in accordance with the SLA by an agreed programme of qualitative checks and controlled measures and to rectify identified deviation where appropriate;
  • To develop maximum profitable growth of the business through understanding client needs, maximizing the services delivered and championing excellent customer care;
  • To ensure compliance with all statutory, IMS, security and relevant company and client policies generating a true health and safety culture;
  • To ensure that a Continuous Improvement Process is an integral part of service delivery increasingly adding value to both the business and our client;
  • To organise and facilitate regular Customer Forums and meetings with other key stakeholders as appropriate;
  • To interact with all internal teams to discharge the consistent, effective and efficient delivery of planned and reactive tasks and in doing so, support best practice;
  • Maintain current KPI level’s in Belfast, and establish same in South.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Financial and commercial awareness, including full understanding and appreciation of the CVR
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all those who have a stake in the work
  • Ability to control all aspects of Health and Safety on site
  • Ability to effectively manage time in order to meet deadlines
  • Capable and willing to mentor and support other members of the team
  • Ability to negotiate and influence 


  • Previous experience within site or project management role
  • Up to date relevant knowledge of building and Health and Safety Legislation (CDM Regulations)
  • Experience in developing and updating Construction Phase Plans in line with project requirements
  • Current and valid UK driving licence

Salary band – 32 – 35k (Dependent upon experience) plus Company Van
