Terex are delighted to be recruiting this new position in Northern Ireland, the Corporate Tax manager can be based at any of our nine sites throughout Northern Ireland, including Lurgan, Dungannon and Ballymoney.

The Corporate Tax Manager (UK and Ireland) will report to the Director of Taxes for Central Europe. The positon has been brought to in Northern Ireland as part of ongoing investment in the region, and one of a number of strategic vacancies planned for recruitment throughout the year. 

The mission of the Terex Tax team is to efficiently satisfy all compliance requirements and generate added value for the Company. The team are a customer-focused group of professionals working collaboratively with the Terex businesses, corporate functions, suppliers and customers to reach agreement on requirements, create efficiencies and value-added change through innovative solutions, stable processes and standard work.

 Position Summary

The Corporate Tax Manager for UK and Ireland has direct responsibility to interface with the various Terex business segments and units and local departments (e.g., Treasury, Legal, Accounting, HR) to understand tax-related business issues and bring tax resources and solutions to bear on operations.They are responsible for the cyclical corporate tax compliance function for UK companies for both US and UK reporting, including the implementation of appropriate processes to ensure all claims and elections are identified and made to minimize effective tax rate.The successful candidate will work with the Senior Tax Manager to ensure any tax audits are dealt with efficiently and assist in managing tax reporting of some overseas entities.

Essential criteria:

  • 4-7 years of experience in tax relating to UK and Ireland;
  • Tax and/or accountancy qualification ACA, ACCA, CTA;
  • Multinational tax reporting experience required;
  • Ability to interface with accounting, finance teams and external advisors;
  • Experience with providing tax responses to HMRC;
  • Good understanding of both compliance & planning work;
  • Ability and willingness to travel to all Terex facilities within the UK

Desirable criteria:

  • “Big 4” experience would be preferred
