 Job Description

The Bank Support Workers for residential and supported living services will work as part of the team whose function it is to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of individuals who receive support and care from the Cedar Foundation Living Options Service.


The Cedar foundation deliver a range of services centred around the individual needs of each person and enabling people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities.
 Through a key worker system, the bank support worker will also have involvement in the designing of individual programmes of support and be responsible for delivering the accommodation support and care packages. The service users living within the schemes have physical and sensory disabilities and /or brain injury with associated needs and /or learning disability. The support team is expected to deliver the organisation’s mission of providing quality support, care and accommodation to our service users by upholding the organisation’s values of commitment, excellence, diversity, accountability and respect.

Hours:             As and when required (day, evening and night shifts available)
Salary:            £8.81 per hour
Contract:        Casual
Location:        South Belfast

Essential Criteria:        

  • Numeracy & literacy (English language) skills.
  • Demonstrable evidence of 6 months experience of providing physical care / support for individuals.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Registered or willing to apply for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council.
  • Satisfactory employment references.
  • Valid Work Permit.
