Assistant Management Accountant (AMA575)

 Main Purpose of role:

  • To produce and develop financial information and reports for monthly and annual reporting, and to provide timely and accurate information to Senior Management team to enable them to make informed business decisions. 

Job Background/Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly reporting of Actual Sales and Contribution.
  • Assist in bi-annual stocktake and valuation of stock by part number and by location.
  • Monthly labour reporting including Pensions.
  • Review of Incoterms on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with revenue recognition criteria.
  • Monthly reporting of Actual order intake against Budget.
  • Lead & Develop Payroll team
  • Relevant Balance sheet Reconciliations.
  • Assist in year-end audit and preparation of Statutory Accounts.
  • Assist in monthly forecasting of Sales and Contribution.
  • Assist in preparation of Budget Sales and Contribution.
  • Assist in recording and capturing information for relevant Invest NI grants.
  • Help identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency within the department.

The Person/Skills Required:

  • Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • 2 years’ experience of working in a finance/ accounting environment.
  • Ability to manage own work plan and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Works with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work well within a busy team.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Part Qualified Accountant
  2. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  3. 2 years’ experience of working in a busy finance/ accounting environment.
  4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Navision (or an equivalent ERP system).

Desirable Criteria:

  1. 2 years’ experience gained within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  2. Working knowledge in production of monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
