Your new role…

There is currently a requirement for an Accounts Receivable Administrator within the Energia Accounts Receivable team based in Newforge Lane, Belfast. Working as part of the Accounts Receivable Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of this function are completed accurately and within the timescales required. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving cash processing errors and supporting ongoing cash flow management activities.

This is a varied role and included but not limited to those responsibilities listed below.

Main Duties:

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure prompt resolution of queries including those identified through exception reports.
  • Performing analysis on key customer accounts
  • Investigate funds placed into the suspense account
  • Process remittances received from customers on a daily basis to ensure payments are correctly allocated
  • Researching, analysing and correcting any misapplied payments
  • Completion of daily cash books, identifying and recording all receipts and payments
  • Investigate, report and action unallocated cash
  • Control of customer refund and bad debt write-off processes
  • Input into overall KPI and cashflow reporting

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 12 months previous experience working in a Financial Administration role
  • Must have GCSE Maths and English, Grades A*- C or equivalent
  • Good Excel skills

  • Experience in Accounts Receivable role
  • IATI or equivalent

The job requires a considerable degree of commitment, flexibility and adaptability on the part of the job holders to meet quality standards and work deadlines. The individual must have a forward thinking approach and be able to work independently. They must also possess strong organisational and time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
