1x Full Time 5 days over 7 days per week (includes weekends)

Summary of Role

Our team is currently looking for experienced Drivers to join our busy transport department. In this role, the successful candidates will be responsible for collecting/delivering product working in accordance with factory and industry standards and working closely with other team members to meet company and customer goals. Main tasks and responsibilities

Main Tasks: (Brief outline and not exhaustive list)

  • Collect and load product from growers
  • Load/unload produce for delivery to customer
  • Operate forklift (if licenced to do so)
  • Complete all necessary and associated paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and vehicle
  • Adhere to all health and safety practices and driving legislation
  • Any other duties and reasonable tasks within your capability as set out by Supervisor/Management.

What we need from you                                                                                                                              

  • Class 1 or Class 2 Driving Licence
  • Minimum 1 years relevant driving experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills (Sufficient level of written and spoken English to maintain levels of safety and good customer service)
  • Ability and experience of completing paperwork
  • Experience of working directly with customers and/or suppliers
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and coherently with other team members
  • Flexibility with working times to ensure timely deliveries and collections
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
  • Previous experience transporting foodstuff/perishable goods (desirable)
