 Job Description

The successful post holder will be responsible for the development, control and management of a range of skills training contracts across all College campuses.


POST:TRAINING AND APPRENTICESHIP MANAGER

DURATION:PERMANENT

HOURS: 36 PER WEEK

GRADE:BAND 7 NJC 38 – 41

SALARY:£34,106 – £37,107 PER ANNUM

LOCATION:NEWRY GREENBANK CAMPUS

REPORTS TO:ASSISTANT DIRECTOR CURRICULUM – FURTHER EDUCATION & TRAINING (FET)

JOB PURPOSE

The post holder will be responsible for the development, control and management of a range of skills training contracts across all College campuses. This includes the operation and administration of the following areas:

  • Training for Success
  • Apprenticeship Training including higher level apprenticeships
  • Training contracts with external organisations

Personnel Specification

Applicants must as a minimum, meet all of the essential eligibility criteria listed below.

Eligibility Criteria

 

Essential Criteria

  1. A level 5 qualification (or higher) in any discipline.
  2. A minimum of two years’ (within the last five years’) management experience to include management of staff and resources.
  3. Budget management experience.
  4. Proficient IT skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office.

Desirable Criteria

  1. Experience in the administration of Training for Success (TFS) and Apprenticeship Training.

Other Essential Criteria

 

A full current driving licence which enables you to drive in Northern Ireland, and access to a car for official business purposes. (Please refer to the General section in the application pack for further information).

  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
