To operate and maintain an effective Stores service, as appropriate, including stock purchase, issue, control, storage and inventory records. A thorough knowledge of stock control, ordering and purchasing systems is essential. You will source materials, equipment and tools to achieve deadlines at the most competitive price. In addition to the above you will oversee the implementation of a computerised stores system to raise purchase orders, generate management reports, check delivery notes, confirm received goods, ensure maintenance of stock levels and compatibility with an established accounts system.
With experience of working in a vehicle/plant store, dealer or supplier environment, you must be able to use your own initiative and have good working knowledge of a range of vehicle and plant parts, stock control and ordering using computerised stock systems. A full clean driving licence would be regarded as essential to this position, while a Forklift /HGV Licence would be advantageous. Applicants must have a minimum of three standard G.C.S.E. grade passes or equivalent to include English and Mathematics.
Duties & Responsibilities
Hours of Work:
39 hours per week Monday to Friday within a shift pattern between the hours of 06.00 and 18.30, as decided by the Company. Candidates must be flexible with regards overtime as this will be expected as and when required.
