Position Description

This is a combined service, reporting and sales role and the successful candidate will work within a dynamic team, to deliver excellent service to N.I business customers, achieve growth and retention sales targets in respect of retail electricity/gas products and emerging technologies. This role may develop to also provide support to the CRM team.

There will also be an expectation to provide support to the NI Residential Team when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including customers, outsource partners, brokers, consultants, industry and regulatory bodies, CRMs and operational teams within Electric Ireland.
  • Deliver timely and courteous customer service and communications to customers and stakeholders via phone, email and where appropriate face to face, in line with company policies, sales and marketing strategy and brand values.
  • Issuing electricity and gas sales quotations to customers, assisting with customer retention campaigns and generating customer reports.
  • Generating reports relating to contract ends dates, customer losses and vacant premises.
  • Adhering to governance guidelines on standard operating guidelines. Adhering to strict data protection procedures.
  • Responding to customer and stakeholder queries in relation to electricity and gas billing, payments, tariffs, contracts, change of tenancy, on-line systems, etc.
  • Assisting Business Customers with online service tools such as Business Online.
  • Provide administrative support to the CRM team and N.I Residential

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

    Essential
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service with a focus on meeting customer needs in line with brand values.
  • A minimum of 4 years call centre experience , 2 of which need to be in a Business to Business environment ideally SME
  • Negotiating and communicating with customers and stakeholders
  • Analysing data, problem solving and decision making
  • Self-planning and strong organisational skills
  • Self-starter with an ambition to learn
  • Working on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve business objectives including successful achievement of sales and other targets
  • Attention to detail with ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Innovation and creativity to adapt to changing environments or circumstances
  • Microsoft Office skills. Proficient in the use of Excel

    Desirable
  • Knowledge of retail and wholesale energy markets is desirable
  • Experience with SAP

Qualifications

Essential

  • A relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
