We seek to appoint a Lecturer (Education) in French studies for a nine month period who will teach at undergraduate and post graduate level, and contribute to school administration/outreach activity.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Primary degree including at least Joint Hons or equivalent in French
  • Hold or about to complete a PhD in an area of French Linguistics
  • Evidence of language teaching experience at tertiary level
  • Ability to deliver research-led specialist teaching in French Linguistics at all levels of the curriculum
  • Ability to design course materials and to plan and organise the delivery and assessment of taught courses in French Studies
  • Ability to contribute fully to the French Studies Curriculum at UG and PG levels
  • Ability to contribute fully to the broader administrative activities of the subject area and the School of Arts, English and Languages

Salary scale: £36,261 – £50,132 per annum (potential to progress to £53,175 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution)
