The role consists of working within a team to provide a full range of activities required for preparation and realization of fire tests according to European standards.

The work will include installation of constructional elements into test frames, dismantling of samples after testing, installation and set-up of instrumentation such as thermocouples and transducers, checking their functionality through software, calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment, off-loading/loading deliveries, daily contact and co-ordination of tests with our engineers, keeping the laboratory clean and the storage rooms in order, plus many more activities to ensure the constant through flow of test work through a busy and heavy industrial fire test laboratory.

Required attributes:

  • Awareness of health and safety requirements.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to learn and good understanding capability

Desirable attributes:

  • Previous experience in one of the following: welding, construction, electricity, fire testing.
  • Experience driving forklift, scissor lift and crane (training will be provided).
