Inbound Sales Executive

Kernohan Distribution is a leading distributor of plumbing, heating, ventilation and electrical products, supplying retailers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

We’ve been established for over 40 years and we represent brands you know and trust. Our partners include AEG, AGA, Candy, Heta, Hoover, Lakes, Rangemaster, Villeroy & Boch and Zanussi. We’re based across two sites in Conlig, Co. Down, with offices in Belfast and Co. Offaly too.

Key Responsibilities

We currently have a vacancy for an Inbound Sales Executive. The successful candidate will be based in our Head Office in Conlig, Co. Down – just a short drive from Bangor and Newtownards. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling inbound customer calls in a professional manner;
  • Making outbound sales calls to existing customers;
  • Taking ownership of and resolving customer enquiries in a timely manner;
  • Providing administrative support to the company’s team of Sales Representatives;
  • Working closely with Finance & Credit Control to resolve credit account queries;
  • Processing credit card payments;
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve warranty and customer support issues. 

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, together a professional, competent, telephone manner;
  • Computer literate with experience of using MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook;
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English (Grades A – C) and Maths (Grades A – C);
  • The ability to multi-task and to deliver results under pressure;
  • A positive, enthusiastic, customer-focused, attitude.

Desirable Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years’ FMCG and white goods sales experience;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a busy B2B office environment.
