Assistant Manager – Seagate Technology park Londonderry

37.5 hours per week from 08.00am – 4.00pm 

About the Role 

Reporting to the General Manager, you will assist in the day to day management to ensure a quality customer service in all units within the contract. This is an extremely busy account and is an ideal opportunity for superb hands on operator with a passion for food and excellence in customer service. 

Key responsibilities will include;

  • To work with the General Manager and team to ensure the highest standard of food quality, presentation and service standards are achieved and maintained at all times
  • Responsible for leading and motivating the catering team 
  • Be the first point of contact for all staff queries and to deal with efficiently and in timely manner in line with the company’s current policies and procedures
  • To assist General Manager in the completion of relevant weekly/monthly administration work
  • To be involved with all operational audits within the unit 
  • To proactively ensure company policies are being adhered to in relation to Health& Safety, HR, etc
  • To help manage, lead and motivate the catering team on site
  • Assist the general manager of all aspects of the recruitment process
  • Assist and co-ordinate all relevant staff training as required
  • Carryout promotions and special days with a fresh approach initiatives and marketing ideas

Essential Requirements: 

  • Previous experience in hospitality management
  • NVQLevel 2 & 3 or City & Guilds 706/1&2 or above 
  • HACCP 
  • Food hygiene certificate (can be completed online
  • Proven track record of staff management
  • Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative 
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience of financial accounts including preparing time sheets and processing of wages
  • A passion and flair for food and the highest levels of customer service and have a ‘Can do’ attitude
  • Excellent planning &organisational skills 
  • A self-starter,demonstrating a high level of motivation with the ability to motivate others
  • To have a good working knowledge of IT including all Microsoft packages
  • Flexibility will be essential for this role and an innovative approach to problem solving
