Assistant Director - Consultancy £61,282 pa Permanent f/t (37.5 hrs pw)


We’re looking for an inspirational leader to join our senior team as Assistant Director, Consultancy to develop our team of amazing consultants and support and partner our property and regional delivery team in Northern Ireland.

What you’ll be doing

 

As Assistant Director of Consultancy (ADC), you’ll lead and inspire a team of four Consultancy Managers and their consultancy teams who, under your guidance, will deliver the best possible specialist advice and support to our property teams across the Northern Ireland region. An influential and motivational figure for our Consultancy, you’ll provide overarching support and enable them to focus their expertise on areas which will have the greatest impact. You’ll be a key member of the regional management team and a real leader in your field, taking on national lead roles where necessary and working closely alongside the Assistant Director Operations and the Country Director.

We will look to you to provide thought-leading insight and share best practice, as you develop and deliver an effective, well-rounded regional business plan and programme of work. As the Northern Ireland ambition continues to grow, there’s a real appetite for new projects which provide fantastic experiences and protect areas of outstanding beauty and heritage. In this impactful and all-encompassing role, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the Trust’s future in this fantastic region.

Who we’re looking for

 

  • An inspirational and visionary leader, you are able to demonstrate the ambition and ability to build a dynamic team culture through your strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience of turning your vision into a clear, deliverable strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills, you’re able to work collaboratively with other senior team members as well as building productive external relationships.
  • You’re a creative and structured thinker who’s able to understand and resolve complex problems and issues finding simple and deliverable solutions
  • You’re educated to degree-level or equivalent, with a real passion for our cause, and deep understanding of our conservation agenda
  • You’ve a wealth of experience in managing a client service, budgets and building partnerships at a senior level with external agencies, funders and partner organisations.
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams, both directly and in a matrix management environment, and resource planning
  • Relevant experience of delivering projects and/or programmes on time, on budget
