We are currently recruiting for this position within our web department focusing on web development, reporting and analysis. In the role you will be working as a key member of the development/technical team. In-house training will be provided for this role.

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain websites across the company divisions
  • Provide technical support when necessary
  • Responsible for writing efficient frontend and backend code
  • Integrating data between platforms using APIs with bespoke solutions.
  • Testing sites and applications in different browsers and environments
  • Meeting designers, developers and project staff for progress updates
  • Staying up to date with new trends and advancements.

Essential Criteria

  • GCSE A*-C in Maths, English
  • GCSE / A-Level in ICT/Computing/Technology related subject
  • A least one year of experience in a professional environment
  • Experience with at least four of the following: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, XML, JSON, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, MySQL, MongoDB, Node.js
  • Experience with a backend language, e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl
  • Experience with a Linux distribution (centOS, Ubuntu etc.)
  • Experience with Web Host Manager software (WHM/cPanel etc.)
  • Experience with DNS record management
  • Understanding of Mail Servers (spam protection, account management etc.)
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively, accurately and meet deadlines
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to analyse data
  • Close attention to detail
  • Passion for problem solving

Desirable Criteria

  • HND/BSc/BEng in Computing or related studies
  • A strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Experience with content management systems (Magento, WordPress, etc.)
  • Sound working knowledge of MS Office Applications and Adobe Packages
