Technical Sales Engineer

Frenstar Limited – Belfast

Frenstar is a privately owned supplier of high specification Butterfly valves to the international oil, gas, power and petrochemical markets. We are seeking to recruit a Technical Sales Engineer to work at our offices in Belfast.

As we are a small business, flexibility is the key attribute we seek in all of staff that we employ. To this end the role will not consist exclusively of Sales and the successful applicant will be expected to maintain a flexible attitude and assist with all aspects of general office work ie: Order Entry/Progress of Outstanding Orders/Liaise with Customers & Suppliers etc.

This role has a heavy focus on incoming & outgoing telephone calls you would need to engage with people in a professional, technical and commercial manner so a confident and proactive approach will be required.

If you are qualified in an engineering subject this would be an advantage but will not be a key factor as we believe product knowledge can be just as useful.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and persistent and enjoy the challenge of finding new sales opportunities.

Responsibilities of the job include:

  • Preparing tenders, proposals and quotations
  • Providing pre-sales and post-sales support
  • Liaising with existing clients
  • Identifying and establishing new business
  • Reviewing cost and sales performance

Desirable Education/Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering Qualification.
  • Two years post education experience in an engineering environment.
