SUPPORT ENGINEERS (Senior and Associate Levels required)

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Openwave Mobility are seeking a highly motivated engineer to augment our Field Support and Services teams. The successful candidate will relish solving complex technical problems and experienced in providing excellent customer service for issue resolution. The role is ideal for those who possess an understanding of Telco environments, however we will consider all candidates who can demonstrate working in a technical environment. As part of the team you will have exciting opportunities to travel the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in a global team delivering support to our customers and partners.
  • Manage issue resolution, and/or escalation to internal tiered support teams and manager.
  • Advise customers on proper use of product and features.
  • Create knowledge base documentation and tools/scripts to assist in troubleshooting activities.
  • May travel to customer sites to perform project or support work.
  • Participate in oncall rotation, 12*7 (after ramp up period).

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Experience in a Technical Support environment (Experience with Linux is required and Networking is beneficial).
  • Strong problem solving skills, with good written & verbal communication.
  • Customer focused and self-motivated, with strong teamwork skills and a flexible approach.
  • Excited by new technology and learning opportunities in a fast paced agile environment.
  • Positive attitude and driven to become a subject matter expert in OWM product and related technologies.
