Sales Executive / Business Development Manager                          

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive / Business Development Manager for an account management and business development role based in Belfast.

The Role

This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced, driven and highly competent sales person. The role will have responsibilities for sales from new and existing business, for developing new sales areas, and involvement with sales management. For the correct candidate there would be an opportunity to develop further in the long-term plans of the company. The role is a permanent position and will be based at offices and warehouse in Belfast.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a large customer base, developing new customers and markets, and sales of both hardware and consumables.

This is a varied role in sales and management, working with the existing sales and marketing function. There is an experienced team to work with to meet the key company objective. The salary will be commensurate with experience and track record. A bonus scheme and company pension scheme are in place.

Essential skills and experience

  • Proven track record in developing sales and new business.
  • Success in selling and developing customer relations by telephone.
  • Excellent skills and understanding of technology and software-based products.
  • Experience of both hardware and consumable sales.
  • Ability to understand different markets and develop a sales strategy.
  • Ability to work and meet sales targets.
  • Proven commercial and sales management skills.
  • Well organised and ability to work independently.
  • Competent in Microsoft and CRM computer systems.
  • Good communicator.
  • Ability to work as a key member of a small management team.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of working in distribution sector.
  • Experience of sales to retail groups and chains of stores.
  • Experience of demonstrating technical equipment.
  • Experience of stock management and SOP and POP systems.
  • Experience in the technical support sector and support services.
  • Experience of e-commerce and the use of social media for sales/marketing purposes
  • Experience in the PR and event market.
