MacBlair is a long-established builder’s merchant group with 16 branches trading across Northern Ireland.  In addition to supplying building materials we also specialise in Plumbing & Heating, Paint, Civils and Bathrooms & Tiles under the “Watershed Bathroom & Tiles” brand.

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Heavy Goods Vehicle driver to join our team in Bangor.

 

Our modern fleet consists mainly of 26 ton and 12 ton GVW rigids fitted with hydraulic cranes.

 

HGV DRIVER (HGV CLASS ‘C’)

 

The successful applicant will be an experienced HGV Driver (Class ‘C’) with a safe driving record who takes pride in their driving ability and carries out their responsibilities, including contact with customers, in a professional manner.

 

The primary function of the position is to provide relief driver cover ensuring that customer deliveries are completed in a safe, efficient, effective and courteous manner.  Further requirements of this position include assembling orders for delivery, offloading goods, serving customers and performing other operational duties when required.  Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will have a willing and flexible disposition.

 

Candidates must be in possession of a valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Card at the date of application.  Experience of building materials and timber would be advantageous, as would the operation of a hydraulic grab.
