ROLE: Quality Student Placement
SITE:RLC (UK) Ltd – Global Point
DEPARTMENT: Quality Department
Working at our Global Point facility within the Quality department the successful candidate will be involved in wide variety of technical and operational activities. The successful student will be involved in Lean and Six Sigma projects in a complex machining cell or department, tooling and setup reduction of machined component families, planning and design of manufacturing areas to improve process flow in terms of lead time and work in progress and engineering change implementation. This will involve the investigation and implementation of modern technologies and metrology and the use of statistical techniques and data in support of all of the above.
Applicants must be studying for a degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Manufacturing Engineering and possess excellent mechanical, technical and practical aptitude, be results orientated and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful candidate should have the ability to interact effectively with a variety of people within the organisation and use their initiative to perform to a high level in an often-pressurised environment. RLC is seeking to attract high calibre engineering candidates and offer a package and placement that can significantly improve post-graduate employment prospects.
Applicants will require sound PC skills with a good knowledge of both Microsoft Office and other engineering software packages
This is a day shift position based in RLC Global Point, Corrs Corner, Newtownabbey.
