Role

Belfast Met are seeking to appoint a IT Trainer on a full-time Permanent basis.

The IT Trainer is responsible for ensuring that, across the College, academic and support staff are able to demonstrate competency (to a defined level) in the application of specific VLE and required IT based technology; both within the training environment and subsequently in their day-to-day job.

What you need:

Qualifications / Experience

  • EITHER A Level 4 Certificate (HNC or equivalent) in a related discipline PLUS a minimum of 1 years’ recent full time experience (in the last 5 years), in delivering group and one-to-one IT based training programmes

OR

2 years’ recent full time experience (in the last 5 years) in delivering group and one-to-one IT based training programmes

  • Proven working experience in coordinating multiple training events in a corporate or educational setting
  • Demonstrable experience of design and delivery of high impact learning programmes for tech related products and systems
  • Demonstrable Experience in the use of ‘of the shelf’ Learner Management Systems (such as: Blackboard; Canvas; D2L etc.) OR tailored in-house / open-source Learner Management System (such as Moodle).
  • Demonstrable Experience of using interactive whiteboards
  • Demonstrable Experience of completing the full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Demonstrable Experience in the use of TEL products and activities (e.g. ClickView; Socrative; Kahoot; Nearpod; Menti etc.)
  • MS Office proficiency and experience in delivering IT-based training for adults
