Our highly reputable Client, J&A Construction NI Ltd ,based in Co Tyrone has the requirement  for a Graduate Engineer to join their team due to an expanding portfolio of projects across the commercial, retail and residential industry within NI & ROI.

Role & Responsibilities;      

  • Assisting in the management of construction projects
  • Overseeing building work
  • Undertaking surveys as and when required
  • Assist with the setting out of sites and organising facilities
  • Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
  • Assist in ensuring projects meet agreed specifications, budgets or timescales
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and other professional staff, quantity surveyors and the overall project manager
  • Providing technical advice and solving problems on site
  • Preparing site reports and filling in other paperwork
  • Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and negotiating the price of materials
  • Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
  • Management and co-ordinating employees and subcontractors on-site

 

Essential Criteria;

  • Engineering degree level or 3rd level equivalent qualification
  • Proven technical competence and experience throughout placement year
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, and to lead and motivate others
  • Excellent communicator
  • Motivated to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
