Excellent opportunity for a tull time Quality Assurance Person based in Craigavon (Day shift)


The Company:

Based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, Wilson’s Country Ltd specialises in pre-packed, peeled and cooked prepared potatoes.  We supply food retailers, caterers and food processing companies with a range of products, offering quality, taste, full traceability and value for money.

The Position:

The successful applicant will join our quality assurance team and tasks will include the following:

  • Carrying out quality assessments on incoming raw material and finished products;
  • Carrying out internal audits (e.g. GMP, hygiene, glass and plastic);
  • Testing equipment (e.g. calibration, temperature control, weight etc);
  • Associated record keeping and administration.

Hours of work:

The successful applicant will be contracted to work for 40 hours (5 days, day shift) per week.

A flexible approach to working hours will be necessary and some Saturday work will also be required on a rota basis.

The Person:

Ideally we are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working in a food preparation and/or food production environment;
  • A good general awareness of food safety, food hygiene, health and safety and quality;
  • The ability to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision;
  • Basic computer skills and a good standard of literacy and numerical skills sufficient to carry out job duties;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with others;
  • The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced working environment and on their own initiative with minimum supervision, as well as part of a team.
  • Although full training will be provided, relevant experience in quality control or quality assurance would be preferable.
