Role:
Belfast Met are seeking to appoint an Administrator to the Executive team on a full-time permanent basis.
The Executive Support Team provides a private and confidential administrative service to the Principal and Chief Executive and three of the Directors at the College.  The team is the central link to senior management for internal and external stakeholders including businesses, government departments, MLAs, Councillors, Governing Body, staff and students.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive and confidential support service to the Executive Team including administration and secretarial duties.
What you need: 
Qualifications / Experience
  • EITHER hold a Level 3 qualification (or higher), e.g. BTEC National, GNVQ Advanced or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AND have a minimum of one year’s previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or administrative support to Senior Management where accuracy and attention to detail are required, 
  • OR have a minimum of two years previous experience working as a personal assistant and/or administrative support to Senior Management where accuracy and attention to detail are required.
  • English GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills/Key Skills level 2 (or higher) in Communication, or equivalent
  • Maths GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills/Key Skills level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or equivalent.
  • Recent experience of planning, organising and working effectively in a busy administrative environment. 
  • Experience of organising and co-ordinating meetings including drafting agendas, minute/note taking and the follow-up of actions 
  • Experience of managing senior manager’s diary and scheduling meetings.
  • Experience of the appropriate handling of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications or similar packages for example; word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and maintenance of electronic diaries.
