Role

Curriculum Administration Support provides a range of administrative services to the

College’s campuses and academic schools. Curriculum Administrators are located within the core administrative team dispersed across the College.

The post-holder will ensure an efficient and effective student service and administrative support. They will form part of a front line team of administrators and will be expected to assist in the delivery of a range of front line services.

Campus Administrator (Band 3) provide the College’s front-line service, located at each of the College’s three main Campus Reception areas.  Post holder will be expected to respond to telephone and face-to-face enquiries from students, staff and/or the general public, student admissions and enrolment, processing student fees, dealing with student finance and related enquiries, office administration (including word-processing/typing letters, memos and reports, photocopying, post, fax, minute-taking/servicing meetings and switchboard duties) and supporting the procurement of good and services for each Campus.

Departmental Administrators (Band 3) provide the College’s Academic Departments with front line administrative support related to the delivery of the curriculum.   Post holders will be expected to assist in the provision of front line services to support Curriculum staff track the student journey from recruitment to exit.  Duties will include responding to telephone and face-to-face enquiries from students, staff and/or the general public, student admissions and enrolment, dealing with student finance and related enquiries, office administration (including word-processing/typing letters, memos and reports, photocopying, post, fax, minute-taking/servicing meetings) and supporting the procurement of good and services for each Curriculum Department.

What you need:

Qualifications / Experience

  • EITHER Hold a qualification BTEC National, GNVQ Advanced, or NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant subject together with a minimum of one years’ experience of working in an administrative setting

OR

  • Have a minimum of two years’ experience working in an administrative setting.
  • English GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Communication, or equivalent.
  • Maths GCSE at Grade C or above, OR Essential Skills level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or equivalent
  • Experience working in an environment, which requires confidentiality and the ability to handle data and information of a sensitive nature e.g. personal finance including banking details.
  • Experience of planning and organising administrative tasks.
  • Experience using Microsoft office applications (for example; Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Experience of working with others and in teams to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Flexible approach with a focus on service and performance.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment
