The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst/Product Manager to assume a key role in an energetic, results-oriented Engineering team.  The successful candidate will make a highly visible contribution to the end-to-end delivery of a multi-million dollar product offering.  They will work closely with local Engineers in Belfast, global Product Management, and staff based in our Silicon Valley headquarters, as part of a world-class team driving rapid growth through regular, ambitious feature releases that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. 

Your day-to-day

  • Act as a key member of a team working on the leading Email Security product suite on the market
  • Play a pivotal role in driving the delivery of ambitious new features and large-scale projects from inception through to deployment
  • Act as a key stakeholder of Product Management requirements and priorities within Engineering, ensuring that critical projects are tracked and scheduled in line with commitments
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Project Management to translate high level roadmaps and feature requests into high quality functional and non-functional requirements documentation with agreed phases and committed delivery dates
  • Work with Project Management to provide ongoing visibility of project progress to senior stakeholders in Product Management and Engineering, leveraging the capabilities of JIRA, Confluence and similar tools 
  • Work directly with Engineers to ensure that they fully understand the features they are implementing and testing, and that blockers are dealt with quickly and efficiently
  • Work with UX Designers and UI Developers to ensure that front-end components work seamlessly across a range of platforms, including tablet and mobile
  • Communicate with a range of stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions accurately meet the needs of our customers
  • Work directly with Support and Sustaining team-members to ensure that customer issues are well understood and correctly prioritised by Product Management and Engineering 
  • Control feature-creep through compromise and thoughtful stakeholder management
  • Arrange and run meetings to align stakeholder goals and priorities   
  • Assist the continual improvement of Engineering processes
  • Combine technical know-how with a deep understanding of the products and features you help to deliver
  • Interact with Customers and Partners as needed to validate requirements, support technical integration efforts and deliver product demos
  • Respond to internal Sales/SE technical inquiries about Email Security product suite

What you bring to the team


  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including technical writing skills
  • Ability to understand and cleanly document complex systems at an architectural level
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in the organization
  • Extensive experience in analysing and refining requirements leading to the delivery of accurate and on-time software projects 
  • Smart, driven, detail orientated and highly organized
  • Work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with creating and tracking projects via a ticket management system such as JIRA
  • Extensive experience working in a product-focused development environment
  • Experience working collaboratively with Development and Product Management teams


  • Understanding of cloud-based product delivery
  • Understanding of email security and email filtering solutions
  • Understanding of REST and other web-service related concepts
