We have an exciting opportunity for a Billing Advisor/Administrator working within our growing and evolving billing department.
Salary: starting £18,500 depending on skills and experience
Permanent | Full Time Hours | 37 hours per week
SSE Airtricity Gas supplies gas to over 160,000 customers across Northern Ireland and core to our purpose is ensuring that we provide timely and accurate bills to each of these customers throughout the year. In order to ensure we maintain high quality billing standards and compliance excellence it is essential that we have a dedicated and motivated team of professionals who are equipped and responsible for ensuring these standards are maintained and customers billed accurately and on time. To this end we have an exciting opportunity for a Billing Advisor/Administrator working within our growing and evolving billing department.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
-Ensuring accurate and timely routine billing for all domestic and commercial customers according to billing schedules and in line with all policies & procedures, SLA’s, Codes of Practice and applicable licence requirements.
-Update and manage multiple CRM systems e.g. HiAffinity, online portals, websites and other databases as required
-Support the complex billing of large business customers as required
-Support the management and accurate updating/amending of complex billing databases and files to facilitate billing and associated processes, such as contract renewals
-Provide support, advice and escalation point for complex and technical queries and enquiries from other internal teams and departments, customers and third parties.
-Support in the prevention of revenue leakage by assisting in the monitoring of monthly billed revenue data to ensure alignment with Network volume data. Assist in investigation of any variances.
-Support with the execution of non-routine billing tasks including: – electronic billing, web bills, rebills, customer account reconciliations, meter upsizes, updating and monitoring of accounts for accuracy, including for large contract accounts amendments for elevated pressure, correctors, pricing/charge changes and amendments.
-Contact customers and Network Operators where appropriate to close out billing queries and book appointments/siteworks as required.
-Proactively engage with other internal departments to fulfil all billing requirements, resolve queries, drive improvements, and ensure all SLA’s and objectives are delivered as required.
-Coordinate billing schedules with Meter Reading and Customer Service teams.
-Manage recovery communications with bill print vendor
-Support the management of dedicated shared mailbox
-Undertake any additional duties as directed by the Billing Team Lead and Collections & Back Office Manager.
Your Skills and Experience
-Experience working in either a billing or customer accounts environment
-Minimum of Intermediate excel skills
-Strong numerical and analytical skills. Able to demonstrate ability to analyse and manage large volumes of data
-Able to interpret data to find anomalies/trends and make recommendations
-Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
-Proven experience in multi-tasking, prioritising workload and managing time well
-Focused on delivering accurate and reliable results within deadlines
-Experience working with customers, colleagues and all stakeholders across the business and wider industry e.g. Networks/Distribution companies
-Proven experience in Microsoft Office suite, and ideally including Access
-Keen to get involved in any improvement initiatives and bring new ideas
-Responds positively to change
-Knowledge of the Gas & Electricity industries preferred
