Salary: starting at £22,500 depending on skills and experience + annual bonus

We have an exciting opportunity for a Billing Operations Team Leader to lead the billing team on all aspects of domestic and commercial customer billing, including complex billing. The successful person will report directly to the Collections & Back Office Manager and will be actively involved with all teams within the business. For this role we are looking for someone who has the right mix of strong operational capability, technical expertise, customer focus and ability to successfully lead a team. Responsibilities will include but will not be restricted to:
-Lead the Billing Team to ensure consistent accurate and timely routine billing of all domestic and commercial customers.
-Manage the team to deliver of all non-routine billing, billing related tasks and compliance related processes.
-Ensure all billing related processes are mapped end to end and kept updated at all times, with controls in place to ensure the team are trained and supported to understand and follow approved processes at all times.
-Oversee and support the complex billing of large business customers
-Manage the team to collectively provide support, advice and be an escalation point for complex and technical queries and enquiries from other internal teams & departments, customers and third parties
-Be receptive to all team members and proactively lead them through effective decision making, strong communication and technical support to ensure the team functions to a high standard and all objectives are delivered according to agreed timescales.
-Engage with HR as required to manage the team in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
-Liaise with HR and external recruitment agencies as required to ensure all roles are covered adequately and disruption to the broader team and delivery of targets is minimised.
-Oversee regular quality audits to ensure all processes and procedures are fully compliant with all company policies, procedures and regulatory obligations.
Your Skills and Experience
-Significant experience working in a customer accounts, billing or revenue assurance environment, with proven experience in a leadership capacity.
-Excellent operational capability.
-IT skills with advanced Excel skills. Proven experience in all Microsoft Office applications.
-Excellent numerical, analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Track record in helping others to deliver accurate and reliable results within deadlines.
-Persistent and analytical approach to problem solving, which considers all contributing factors.
-Thorough approach to dealing with queries
